LG Optimus Pad

We were already hearing a lot about this product from the world's fourth largest phone manufactures, and wondering whether it will bring any difference to the Tablet market with the giant iPad and strong competitors like Motorola Xoom and all. Well the answer most probably will be known after it's release in march.

The LG Optimus Pad was announced at the MWC 2011 at Barcelona. If you want to describe it in one word it would be impressive. Even in this world of fierce competition this one will not go unnoticed. Running on Nvidia Tegra 2 1GHz Dual core processor, Android 3.0 platform, two HD recording capable 5MP cameras at the back.

The specialty of that camera is that it can also record 3D videos. And that's cool. This one does not support glasses free 3D like the Optimus 3D. But you can view 3D using glasses. It has an 8.9 inch capacitative touchscreen with HD playback(720p) cause the screen is WXGA 1280x768 pixels. And so it is guaranteed to provide you with great viewing experience. Also another great and superb feature of this tablet is it's 8.9 inch screen with a 15:9 aspect ratio. It is different from the iPad or the Galaxy Tab and I should say it scored a point there. It's easy to hold with one hand but does not compromise with viewer comfort or experience.

Running on the Android 3.0 platform gives it a great look and feeling. It seems different from the other tablets with Android 3.0. It looks great with the Honeycomb. Superb user experience. It has all the Honeycomb widgets, apps and also the Home screen properties, graphics and all.
