iPad 2 may be available immediately

Sources said that Apple may surprise everyone by releasing the iPad 2 quickly afterwards the march 2nd event. Reports suggested that Apple is coordinating several divisions indicative of shipping soon of the iPad 2.

This if happens will be a change from Apple as it's original iPad shipped ony 2 months after announcement and iPhones ships two to three weeks after announcement. It may have a much quicker turnaround due to iPad's indepence from carriers. An iPhone requires coordination from local networks and their own retailers, whereas iPad only needs to be shipped in the WiFi form.

There has been a lot of leaks rumors around this product. The main changes includin the dual core processor, slimmer body and lighter. Reports have suggested that iPad 2 will be built in carbon casing which would make it lighter than all the current tablets in the market. And Apple is expected to hold a minimum of 499$ for it's device.

Sony prepares 17.7MP camera for phones

Sony has announced that it developed a phone sized 17.7MP camera sensor. The sensor can process several pixel input parallel and about 75% less time to generate the final image. At 34.8 GigaBits it's about 5 times faster than a typical phone camera and can handle the Burst photography or high speed video.

The CMOS based Exmor sensor can shoot high resolution videos at 120FPS if the processor and the memory can handle it. Also an underlying technology prevents more battery drainage for that extra speed of the camera.

The exact usage time fot this tech is still not available and sony ericsson may use it in it's phones and point and shoot cameras. Sony is the best camera manufacturers in the world and may be supplying iPhone5 camera. But it is expected that it would only be an 8MP update.

Microsoft announce budget freindly HD webcam and some mice

Microsoft has announce the released of the new lifecam HD3000, which can capture 720p videos. And the really good part is that it costs only 39.95$. Nice right. I would say superb. Getting something this good from a great company at such a good price is really nice.

They also announced three mice. First and the best one being the Express mouse for 19.95$(above) which according to Microsoft has both the looks and moves. It's kinda funky looking and you can choose the offset color which ranges from "Hibiscus Red" to "Dahlia pink". But for those who do not like the funky design or the bright colors there is the comfort mouse 3000 for the same price, in a design which is not likely to stand out.

Or go for the Comfort mouse 6000(above) with just 10$ more. It gives ambidextrous pretenses with form fitting shape and five buttons. Well what to choose form lies with you.

iPhone 5 to have larger screen

The front bezel of what claims to be iPhone 5 was posted by iDealsChina. From the photo here it looks like iPhone 5 will have a larger 4inch screen. It will also have an edge to edge screen. That is the bezel(borders) will be thinner. Well then it will be a major improvement in the design if this comes out true.

iPhone 5 is said to feature the dual core processor as in iPad 2 due to. And with the screen size becoming larger is a major change. We may also see some change in the camera. Most probably it will become 8MP or higher.

Actually we will come to know of it this summer if Apple releases it this summer. Even that is a rumor. We are not sure about he release date of iPhone 4 but hope it will come soon. I will post about the latest updates, leaks and rumors about the iPhone 5. Stay tuned.....

iPad 2 not to feature Retina display

Reports surfaced on Engadget that Apple won't be introducing the rumored retina display or the SD card as rumored earlier due to some engineering problems which caused the company to modify it's plans at the last minute.

There has been many rumors circulating ahead of the promised official release of Apple iPad2 that there will be retina display on iPad2 as in iPhone4.

Well considering that it's Apple that we are dealing with we cannot trust any of these rumors. Apple is one of the most secretive company in the world and rumors surrounding it prior to a big release will be many. But we will know the correct fact only when Apple announces it.

Expect we will be knowing about it soon at the apple event on Wednesday. Stay tuned.

Samsung Galaxy S 4G

Samsung galaxy s2 or the Samsung 4G the great successor to Samsung Galaxy S that was one of the pioneers in making the Android hot. And this one definitely lives up to it. It has a 4.27 inch capacitative touchscreen with 800x480 pixel super AMOLED plus display.

It has a 8MP primary camera on the back which can capture 1080p videos and a 2MP front camera. It's just 8.49mm thick, perhaps the slimmest phone to roll out. 0.02 mm slimmer than Sony Ericsson xperia Arc's thinnest point. And guess what, that's just amazing. It looks so ubercool and nice to hold in the hand despite it's large screen. I would say simply amazing.

And it would not be running on Nvidia's Tegra 2 processor but Samsung's own dual core chip, quite possibly the Exynos. And they have included 1GB of RAM. It run's on Samsung Android Gingerbread with the latest Touchwiz 4.0 by Samsung which makes it really special. They two make the user interface simply and the most refined custom Android skin to date. The phone is thin on one hand and other thing is that it has a large surface area, as screen to edge ratio is off the carts.

The game hub in the ROM has the potential to battle with sony playstation suite and allows game developers to bypass the download limit of Android market. The super AMOLED display is simply amazing. And also the UI interface is greatly resposive due to the dual core processor chops.

Samsung has that the phone will be released in Europe and Asia soon and the plans for North America were not yet told. Well we will have to wait a little more to know about that.

Mac OS Lion to Developers

Mac OS Lion is expected to arrive at some point this summer, with Apple releasing a developer preview of the OS this week. Today the developers will be able to catch hold of the Lion if they are members of Apple's mac development program.

With the new multitouch gestures, full screen app control options and all Apple says that it took the best ideas from iPad and use it on Mac OS. We can also expect great features on the Mac OS such as mission control, Lauchpad etc over the coming months as we approach it's release.

While there is still time for the promised release developer's will have enough time to familiarize with the OS, and it's brand new features. The innovation brought about by iPad has influenced a lot in this new release. Stay in touch for the updates.

Samsung Galaxy TAB 10.1

The new Galaxy Tab was officially announced at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona.

This version is called the Galaxy TAB 10.1 contrary to the rumors. It has as expected from it's name a 10.1 inch touchscreen with Android 3.0, Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor, will be available in 16GB or 32GB storage, with a front facing 2MP camera and 8MP rear camera with LED flash. This is all similar with the other tablets running vying around so far.

The o.4 inch thick TAB is lighter. Just 1.23 pounds, whereas iPad is 150 pounds and motorola xoom is 160 pounds. The tab is made up of plastic rather than metal and unlike the 7.1 inch tab it is not glossy at the rear part of the tab. The rear part is rather textured and grippy.

There are no buttons or designs up front to distinguish that it's samsung's. However there is a chrome circular logo of samsung at the back. The screen is 10.1 inch with 1280x800 pixel resolution TFT display. It's doesn't have the super AMOLED it still looks bright. However Samsung definitely dissapointed us there.

The TAB has a sim slot, a 3.5mm jack, and Samsung's propreitary charging cable. However there is no USB or HDMI cable. The rear 8MP camera can capture 1080p HD video and the front 2MP camera will give you good experience in using Google talk video calls.

The Android 3.0 running on it looked simply great. The usage of extra space by the android is simply great. The speed of the tab looks great and all. Well that is to be expected of Tegra2 processor. The dual core processor ensure full HD playback smoothly. The tablet supports gyroscope and accelerometer for motion gaming support.

So far everything looks exactly the same in the tablet as with the other smartphones except the lightweight design. If it puts up a competitive price then it samsung can expect it to stand out against the other tablets. And they haven't anything much about the price and the availability dates. Well I hope we don't have to wait much for it.

Slim bodied iPad 2 pics leak

A Japanese site has posted pictures of what it claims to the new iPad 2 a week ahead of it's release.

The images shows that new iPad will be a lot slimmer than the current one and a little less round shaped. There is speaker grille shown at the back end and a apple logo printed at the back with the name iPad 2, which confirm that the product will be named that way.

There is a funny circle at the top left of the device and might be a back camera or some glitch in the prototype case.

The front predictably shows a front mounted camera in the center of the bezel which comes as a no surprise. This was expected to come inevitably.

This one might be just a discarded prototype or something like that of the iPad 2. well the secrets will be out next week. Stay tuned......

iPad 2 to be launched on 2nd March

Apple has confirmed that it will launch the successor to it's iPad on march 2nd. This is great news that Apple will release the product in a week. Stay tuned for the updates on the day about the release and all.

I have now summarized from all the rumors and all what the iPad 2 would look like on it's release on march 2nd.

one of the main differences would be a front facing camera. This inevitably would be there as this was lacking in the first edition and was a reason for customers to complain about. Introducing a front camera would render the inevitable Facetime support.

The physical advantage of this iPad over the previous one would be it's weight. This one would be lighter and slimmer than the last one as iPad was criticized for it's weight. But the one thing that will get all the attention will be the display.

You can surely expect it to be improved. We can sometimes expect a Retina display. But then that will just simply blow away the competition. Making Retina display work in such a large screen would mean more pixels and more pixels would mean much lower battery life. Well that would not be impressive. But if Apple could manage the battery life, then it will be simply stunning.

The other thing is the processor. It is expected that Apple would make it Dual core as every key tablet in the market is running on dual core processors. Apple wouldn't want it's product to be inferior to any.

It is expected that iPad 2 processor design like Nvidia Tegra 2, will be based on ARM's A9 cortex 1GHz Dual Core processor which you will find in BlackBerry playbook. iPad 2 will also sport a three axis gyroscope like there is in iPhone 4 for better gaming experience. There are certain rumors that there will be a USB port or the new lightpeak technology in Macbook pro for importing photos and the like.

There are also rumors about them introducing expandable memory using SD card. Well if it happens it is good move from Apple's part.

We will know all about this on March 2nd. Stay tuned......

That is it can charge both Android and iOS devices at the same time. It also works up with the company's revive charging app which will tell you how much time it will take to full charge your device with Sosche's chargers. It also sends in a email to notify you when the charge is full.

Apple's new technology called Thunderbolt

Apple has been planning to introduce a high speed connectivity technology, the lightpeak, which is to be called by Apple as the thunderbolt. An alleged picture of a 13inch Macbook pro hardware and the specifications show the introduction of not only hardware but also an input for a SDXC card. The specifics also suggests that the processor will not be accompanied by a discrete graphics card. You have to cope with the Intel onboard graphics.

The specifications are

-2.3GHz Core i5 Processor
-4 GB DDR3 @ 1333 MHz
-320 GB HDD
-13.3-inch display @ 1280x800 pixels
-Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 384 MB shared memory
-FaceTime high-definition camera
-Thunderbolt connector supporting High-Speed-E/A and MiniDisplay-Port devices
-SDXC, Firewire 800, and two USB 2.0 slots
-Backlit keyboard
-2.04kg weight

fsckblog as well Apple insider alleged to have received the leaked pics shown here at the same time. Apple is expected to release the new Macbook pros on Thursday and also is expected to hold a press meeting to introduce the light peak technology. Apple Macbook pros are also expected to enhance the laptops other than the jump to Intel's sandy bridge CPU's.

It is most likely that Apple will give the lightpeak technology it's own unique implementation and unique logo. And this will make the rumors srong about Ipad getting a new port is not just a video out.

Kodak PlayTouch

It's the brand new pocket camera from Kodak featuring a 3 inch touchscreen with just one button for recording. A bit expensive one, it records 1080p resolution videos, 5MP still photos and image stabilization.

The menu buttons on this one is excellent, the screen is responsive and all the controls is placed within your reach. You would never find yourself not able to adjust the settings quickly. Also the auto light adjustment is just awesome. You will find that the camera adjusts very quickly when you move to light to dark. It also focuses on the face.

Samsung with 8X wider bandwidth

Samsung has developed a chip new type of memory for mobile phones with ultra wide bandwidth for smartphones and tablets. The LPDDR2( Low Power Double Data Rate 2) RAM increases the bandwidth simply by increasing the number of pins on the chip 16 times larger from 32 to 512. This gives it 8 times higher memory capacity compare to normal mobile DDR memory.

Also samsung said that this innovation will reduce the power consumption by 87%. The advancement will first come in a 1 Gigabit(128MB) chip made on a 50 nanometer process. It is expected that Samsung will have the new memory module ready soon.

Samsung customers haven't been named apart, but Apple is expected to come as it is one of largest samsung customers for mobile memory for iPhone, iPad and iPod.

Apple to delay all Macbook pro US orders

Apple on sunday confirmed that it will not be supplying Macbookpro to US for 3-5 buisiness days on the other hand where they had normally been shipping in 24 hours. Apple usually does this kind delaying in the case of new release. News is that Apple will be introducing on Tuesday or something and ready to have them selling the same day.

Apple will be upgrading Macbook pros in 10 months with better graphics and overall performance on 15-inch and 17-inch models. The 13-inch models may only get the intel graphics. Also Macbook air isn't expected to get new processes until June 2011.

Dell not to bring back XPS 14

Dell released it's XPS 14 laptops just only 4 months ago. According to an Engadget report, XPS 14 was already out of stock and won't be making a comeback. We wonder why, was it because the product was a disaster. No, I don't think so. Dell has assured that this one exceeded the sales expectations. This brings us a question, then why stop bringing it out.

Well according to their press release they said in fututre they will be bringing out light and thin products out. And this means we can expect XPS laptops getting thin. We could expect that Dell will probably bring some Adamo qualities into XPS brand. And that's gonna be cool. Stay tuned for further updates.

Apple Macs to have Light Peak

Apple is supposed to introduce a new high speed connection technology in it's upcoming Macs according to CNet's report. The most likely new technology would be a Light Peak which uses a common interface for anything you connect to a computer like scanners, printers, displays, external hard drive, and also apple products like iPhones, iPods etc.

It is supposed that the one that will contain Light Peak will be sometimes the Macbook Pro. Light Peak technology uses optic fibre technology for high speed connections and was previewed by Intel in 2009. Apple will not be using Optic fibres, but copper cable instead. And also the technology name will not be light peak but something else.

This is a high speed connection which can achieve transfer speeds of over 10 Gigabits per seconds in both directions. And this might be the supposed reason that Apple didn't upgrade it's hardware to USB 3.0. Intel originally said that the first Light Peak technology products would ship in the first week of 2011.

Archos Arnova

They have now just recently dropped on amazing product out on us. It's a clock radio with a 3.5 inch touchscreen in the middle with the ability to connect 12000 plus radio channels and 1500 plus "Web TV" channels.

You can also play media from your SD card slot or connect locally with a uPNP network. You can even view pictures in here. Well all these things would be pretty impressive if it's available at a moderate price and that sure will kill all the radio's out there. Don't consider buying it soon as that info is not out yet.

LG Optimus Pad

We were already hearing a lot about this product from the world's fourth largest phone manufactures, and wondering whether it will bring any difference to the Tablet market with the giant iPad and strong competitors like Motorola Xoom and all. Well the answer most probably will be known after it's release in march.

The LG Optimus Pad was announced at the MWC 2011 at Barcelona. If you want to describe it in one word it would be impressive. Even in this world of fierce competition this one will not go unnoticed. Running on Nvidia Tegra 2 1GHz Dual core processor, Android 3.0 platform, two HD recording capable 5MP cameras at the back.

The specialty of that camera is that it can also record 3D videos. And that's cool. This one does not support glasses free 3D like the Optimus 3D. But you can view 3D using glasses. It has an 8.9 inch capacitative touchscreen with HD playback(720p) cause the screen is WXGA 1280x768 pixels. And so it is guaranteed to provide you with great viewing experience. Also another great and superb feature of this tablet is it's 8.9 inch screen with a 15:9 aspect ratio. It is different from the iPad or the Galaxy Tab and I should say it scored a point there. It's easy to hold with one hand but does not compromise with viewer comfort or experience.

Running on the Android 3.0 platform gives it a great look and feeling. It seems different from the other tablets with Android 3.0. It looks great with the Honeycomb. Superb user experience. It has all the Honeycomb widgets, apps and also the Home screen properties, graphics and all.

Nokia E7

Nokia's ambitious Symbian 3 device is coming soon. The first Symbian 3 device in the E series. This is touchscreen sliding qwerty phone like the Nokia n97 but purely business class phone and I would say this one is simply superb.

It's design is similar to the Nokia N8. Even the casing will be so much familiar as in N8. It has 4 inch AMOLED capacitative display. Has a resolution of 640x360 pixel, a little low in today's smartphone world with an Aspect ration of 16:9 nHD. This phone runs on the ARM 680 MHz CPU. I should say that Nokia must seriously consider it's position in the smartphone market.

Now it's the age of dual core chipsets and all delivering even glasses free 3D in phone. But Nokia delivering only a 680MHz processor in one of it's premier phones is a little disappointing actually. This phone has HDMI port also. The sliding qwerty is really superb.

With the keys arranged separately with a lot of space in between makes it easy for us to type. This one has an 8MP camera with dual LED flash. Well as it should have there is always the usual things like the Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G etc. I would say that the only notable difference from N8 and this one is that the 12MP camera with Xenon Flash has been reduced down to 8MP camera with dual LED flash.

Also with the flexible and new Symbian 3 OS, we could everything that we did in Nokia N8.

The phone was supposed to arrive in January 2011. But it didn't. Now the phone has been listed at the Indian retailer site Infibeam for 30,000 Rs as coming soon. Stay tuned for more updates.

Android Ice Cream

Brace up guys. Cause it's gonna come. The much awaited, much looked out for Android Ice cream. And there are more good news following it. It's coming with the combined features of honeycomb and Gingerbread. Double the delight.

There have been rumors flying around that the next version of honeycomb will be called the Ice Cream Sandwich. Well confirmations are up that there's not gonna be a sandwich after Ice Cream. That way it's much better and more cleaner.

And now Google authorities have declared that Ice Cream will be built upon the good qualities of the both the Honeycomb and Gingerbread. The Action bar at the top of Honeycomb will be incorporated, whereas the systems bar at the bottom might not make the transition. And the holographic visual presentation of Honeycomb will be incorporated. Well that would be cool. Also there will be the multitasking app switcher which provides a snapshot of each app running.

With all these combined we will get one heck of a new operating system. Well I would say Android is marvelous.

HongTouTou trojan affecting android phones

Information has been released about the release of another Trojan on Android phones, named HongTouTou. This Trojan was only found on cracked versions of some apps in Chinese language sites over the internet. A special one was the popular game RoboDefense, which has been cracked and pirated all over the web. Only apk files of the game which has been tampered with were found to be affected whereas the market version was not.

This one sends your Device ID to a remote host, which returns a string of search engine URL data. Then it performs a background keyword searches for generating clicks on specific results. It's generated to use your phones to create click through counts and generate a bit of income for the people who created it. The Trojan is also able to download apk that can monitor your sms and enter keywords into the conversation.

The researchers at the Lookout said that their 'Android Security' suite has received an OTA update that protect's them HongTouTou.

So people look out for pirated products. They bring a lot of problems with itself. Why ask for that? Android Market is completely risk free. So don't go anywhere else for pirated versions and all. Remember guys, it's better to avoid these kinds of things if you love your phone that is.

Nexus S in Australia not to have AMOLED

Bad news for those in Australia looking forward to the nexus. It won't have the super AMOLED display that it should have, instead replacing it with super LCD.

Vodafone will be the one bringing the nexus S there, with them announcing lately that they will bring nexus S to 24 countries. Super AMOLED display appeared on the preview in Germany Vodafone site, so we will have to think that this change will be in effect in only certain areas. We will know about this soon enough.

Samsung Galaxy S2 leaked Pic

Windows Nokia phones

Images have already been out on the new Nokia Microsoft phone on Engadget. Well it's still only a concept and we will have to wait a little longer to get our hands on the real phone. Still it's wonderful. Nokia's hardware combines with Windows software. This is gonna be one heck of a treat for us.

We can except smartphones of look's of N8 or C7 in near future or perhaps an entirely differently product will be out soon. There won't be any compromise on the phone hardware quality as Nokia is already leader in that sector. The only thing is Windows Phone 7. Not many likes it and it is still inferior considering Android and iOS. Well we shall see about it soon.

Both companies executives and engineers should have been working on this project for a long time already now. The result and culmination of all that will decide the fate of both of these companies.

They have been suffering for quite a long time now. Nokia the market leader is now facing serious threats from rival competitors. Android only recently usurped Symbian's leadership in the smartphone sector. And that must have hurt Nokia much. With Apple, Samsung and all growing on the basis of Android and iOS, Nokia was going down. They needed to do something and that too fast to regain the lost ground.

As for the case for Microsoft, the software giant were not at all formidable competitors in the smartphone race with iOS and Android being the prominent players. Their Windows phone 7 was not loved by much and nor was it improving a lot. So they had to do something and that too fast to catch up with other market leaders.

And now this is perfect opportunity for both. A bit of a gamble from the looks of Nokia though. It should have been better for Nokia to go and join the Android bandwagon. Well they didn't and now they have to put a good show with the Microsoft. We all will have to wait and see what fate awaits them both.

I would to hear from you guys on this matter...........

HP TouchPad

HP has lauched the TouchPad it's first WebOS tablet. HP says the full experience of it's webOS platform was released in this tablet experience.

It has vibrant 9.7-inch diagonal flush capacitive multitouch display with 1024x768 display, virtual keyboard, instant-on access, support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 beta in the browser and access to thousands of webOS applications.

It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2 GHz processor. You can select either the 32 GB version or the 16GB version. Contains WiFi AGPS and Bluetooth. Front facing 1.3 MP camera for video calling. Well these features combined with new and refined WebOS is guaranteed to give this device a true feel.

Now the question is whether this will be enough for HP to outshine the iPad. Or more or less it is now fighting with other potentially powerful competitors like Motorola Xoom running on the Android Honeycomb OS. We will have to wait and see.

Just watch the video to see the lauch of the TouchPad.

Nokia and Microsoft press conference

Nokia and Microsoft ties at last

Nokia has atlast declared the historic alliance with Microsoft. Nokia will now be using Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system on it's future phones. Well atleast this bit was already expected. Now they have officially announced it after the three day meet.

Nokia and Microsoft has signed a mutually sharing deal between themselves. Well both are bound to benefit from one another's expertise in certain areas. Nokia has announced that the smartphone manufacturer will use windows as it's primary platform, that is including the usage of Mobile Office and Xbox Live. Bing will be the primary search engine and Microsoft adcentre will provide the mobile ads.

The apps and content from the Ovi Store will be subsumed into the Windows Phone Marketplace. Apps will have to be made with Microsoft's tools and won't work with Nokia's cross-platform Qt.

Nokia also said that Meego and Symbian are also in development. Meego will find itself as an open-source project dedicated to "longer-term market exploration of next-generation devices, platforms and user experiences." While Symbian to support an established ecosystem as it would be "leveraging previous investments."

It's actually like a gamble. Symbian is much more flexible whereas Windows Phone 7 is relatively more strict. This partnership could also thrust Microsoft into the upper echelons of smartphone market with Android and iOS. However it might not last if it's not updated soon.

Nokia is still the leading smartphone manufacturer although with a failing statistics. Symbian just only lost to Android in terms of number. Nokia's strong foot in the developing countries where Apple and RIM are just only establishing would be helpful to Microsoft.

There is currently no info about their combined Phone as of now. Will be out soon I suppose. And it better be good for both Nokia and Widows Phone platform.

Apple's Retina display broken

You all know about Apple's retina display. Now it's been outshone. Hitachi has announced a 4.5 inch IPS LCD panel that fits 720p resolution display(1280x720) and that too with a 329 dpi, which is presumably higher than Apple's retina display. Hitachi also promises a 1,100:1 contrast ratio and 500 nits of brightness coming from an LED backlight.

Well this is gonna be one heck of a news. They are going to start mass production is to begin in this October. This basically means next years expo's are gonna be filled with phones of 720p resolution outshining even the invincible iPhone 4. Well we are sure to see about this soon.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo

This phone from Sony Ericsson is up. This is a reboot of the old Sony Ericsson Vivaz. This phone nearly is Vivaz with some slight modifications in the design. One thing you have to say is that Sony Ericsson's superb design quality is shown here also.

It's stylishly designed and has a rear 8MP camera capable of HD recording. Much like it's recent counterpart the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.

It comes preloaded with the Android Gingerbread 2.3. Not much info is available on the other specs and all. Hope Sony Ericsson announces about this beauty soon enough.

AT&T strikes back

AT&T strikes back at Verizon with their new ad. With the release of Verizon iPhone 4 this week it is a great move by AT&T.

It shows a guy getting a late night call to his iPhone 4 from his wife asking about her anniversary treat. And he surfs the internet at the same time while he calls to book a dinner.

Surfing the internet while attending the call will not be available at the Verizon iPhone and only AT&T provides it. Well this is a bold move by the AT&T to stop at least some customers from migrating and for new customers.

The video is provided down below.

Atrix new AT&T add

Some people might have been shaken by Motorola's price announcement. But now Motorola has launched it's AT&T Atrix add. They are not gonna let the price tag weigh the customers down, at least that's for sure. And AT&T is going to go ahead with this mammoth price tag of Atrix.

Motorola Dock to cost you 500$

Motorola has announced that their Atrix Laptop dock will cost 499.99$. Well this much for a laptop which doesn't have anything other than a battery and some built in apps and does not work without the Motorola phone.

It can be bought with the phone right away and you will get some discount. So the phone will cost you 200$, the laptop dock 500$ with some discount and a two yearn data plan. This ought to amount to something highly expensive.

Who thought that something announced at the CES 2011, which was highly impressive then might cost you this much. You could get a netbook for 500$ or less which do need a phone to work. Or you could get an iPad for this price.

Well we will have to look at how many people will buy this thing with this price tag. We don't know, people might. This thing's highly popular before it's release and we will have to see how it scores of after it's release this year.

Nokia and Microsoft

It has been rumored for a very long time that Nokia will be partnering up with Microsoft. With Stephen Elop behind the executive chairs it seems so likely. Now various reports(including Engadget's) have surfaced up that Nokia may announce it's strategic partnership with the Windows phone 7 this coming week. That is at the oncoming Mobile World Congress.

Will this be happening. Will nokia be adding windows phone 7 to its symbian and meego platforms. Or will it be dropping one platform to make way for windows. There have been previously many rumours about nokia joining hands with any of the existing mobile platforms, maybe Microsoft or Google's Android.

The most likely option is Windows. This will put Nokia on the same platform as Samsung, LG, Motorola, etc. Manufacturers not able to create or sustain their own mobile operating platforms but content with their hardware strength. Symbian has now become poorly outdated. In that regards I think Nokia is fighting a losing battle. With Android recently overtaking symbian's position as the market leader, Nokia is now placed in a position to do something and that too fast.

They don't have the necessary resources nor the time to go forth continuing their attempts at developing their own platform. So with all these factors under consideration we will be about to hear some mind shattering news next week at Barcelona.

Whatever is the decision any change will surely affect the whole smartphone market as Nokia is still the undefeated leader.
